Oviedo

Established in 1865, the community was formally named Oviedo in 1879 by then-Postmaster Andrew Aulin, a multi-lingual Swedish immigrant who loved to read. Incorporated in 1925, modern Oviedo maintains ties with its sister city by the same name in Spain.

Prior to the pandemic Oviedo was already experiencing an extremely low inventory of homes for sale creating a sellers market, where sellers held the most leverage in a home sale.

The pandemic exacerbated the issue by driving a large influx of new residents to the state and also Oviedo.

This has created an accelerated growth in homes prices that Florida has not seen before.

To add to that many of the offers we see are cash offers above asking.

These three things have made Oviedo one of the largest real estate growth areas in the state.
